How it works

Adjustable louvres, natural ventilation, integrated drainage

The roof of a bioclimatic pergola is made of parallel aluminium louvres that rotate on a motorised axis. You control the angle, the airflow and the shade from a remote or your phone.

01 · Louvres

Adjustable aluminium louvres

Watertight extruded aluminium blades rotate up to roughly 105° to modulate sunlight, create shade or open fully to the sky. Powder-coated finish, structural profiles sized for the Costa del Sol climate.

02 · Ventilation

Natural ventilation

When the louvres are partially open, hot air escapes through the roof by convection, keeping the space underneath noticeably cooler in summer without mechanical cooling.

03 · Drainage

Integrated water drainage

Rainwater collects in the louvre channels and is channelled through the internal posts down to the ground, so the terrace stays dry without external gutters or visible pipes.

Why a bioclimatic pergola

How we work

From first visit to finished terrace

A clear four-step process so you know exactly what happens and when.

1

Site survey

We visit your terrace or rooftop in Málaga or along the Costa del Sol, take measurements and discuss the systems that fit.

2

Design

Layout, structural sizing, RAL colour, options and a detailed quotation are prepared for your approval before anything is manufactured.

3

Manufacturing

Your pergola is produced by the chosen European manufacturer to the approved specification, with quality controls at the factory.

4

Installation

Our team assembles, anchors and commissions the pergola on site, then hands over the controls and documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Five things people ask before commissioning a pergola

Yes. When the motorised louvres are fully closed, the rubber gaskets on each blade seal the roof. Rainwater is collected in the louvre channels and drained through the internal posts down to the ground, so the terrace underneath stays dry.
Yes. All our systems come with a motor as standard, controlled by remote or wall switch. Optional rain, wind and sun sensors can close or open the roof automatically, and TaHoma / smart-home integration is available for most systems.
Yes — the systems we install are engineered aluminium structures rated for Mediterranean coastal conditions, including strong winds. We size the posts, anchoring and overall geometry to your specific location during the site survey.
The aluminium profiles are powder-coated in any RAL colour — for example RAL 9016 white, RAL 7016 anthracite grey, RAL 7035 light grey, or any of more than 300 shades — so the pergola matches the existing façade.
Yes. We can combine the pergola with frameless glass curtains, ZIP wind-resistant screens and even integrated LED lighting and heating, turning the terrace into a year-round outdoor room.
