Frequently asked questions ❓
We compare TodoCristal, STRUGAL and Saxun systems for terraces, balconies, interiors and pergolas, helping you choose the right opening method, glass and track without losing light or panoramic views.
The main difference is not the manufacturer’s name, but how the panels move and park.
Each panel slides to the edge, turns 90° and parks in a compact side stack, leaving almost the entire opening clear.
Status · Cruiser · S30 · AzurPanels overlap on several parallel tracks. It is intuitive, compact and well suited to wide openings and frequent use.
Mica · Jade · S72 · IrasThe upper panel descends by motor and parks behind the lower section, which can act as a transparent balustrade.
INFINIA · motorised operationThey may look similar from a distance, but the lower-track mechanism determines panel weight, ease of movement and possible geometry.
A slide-and-turn glass curtain without vertical profiles. Each panel is bottom-supported and moves on a low-friction insert rather than roller carriages. It can also follow angled and curved layouts.
A reinforced bottom-bearing system for taller and heavier panels. Cruiser 22 can use insulating glass up to 22 mm when greater thermal and acoustic performance is required.
These examples show which mechanical elements remain discreet and where vertical profiles are required for insulating glass or a multi-track layout.

No vertical mullions: panels slide, turn and park compactly at the side, with their weight transferred to the bottom track.

Panels remain vertical and move on independent parallel tracks. A practical solution for wide façades and frequent operation.
Insulating glass requires a vertical aluminium profile to contain and seal the unit. The profile is more visible, but insulation is improved.

A multi-track sliding system for wide openings and pergolas. Each panel has a clearly visible perimeter frame.
The decision depends on clear-opening percentage, weight, insulation, frequency of use and whether the lower track can be recessed.
Near-total opening, minimal visible profiles and support for angled or curved configurations.
Heavier panels, smooth movement and an insulating-glass option for improved performance.
Modular sliding solutions for wide openings, frequent use and flexible layouts.
A large-format STRUGAL slide-and-turn system without vertical mullions between panels.
A bottom-supported multi-track system for wide openings, terraces and pergolas.
Saxun folding and modular sliding alternatives for indoor and outdoor applications.
| System | Opening | Glass | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Status / S30 / Azur | Slide-and-turn | Single | Near-total opening and panoramic views |
| Cruiser 10 / 22 | Slide-and-turn | Single / insulating | Heavier panels and improved insulation |
| Mica / Jade / S72 / Iras | Parallel sliding | Configuration-specific | Wide openings, pergolas and frequent use |
| INFINIA | Vertical, motorised | Engineering-specific | Hospitality spaces with no side parking area |
TodoCristal systems transfer panel weight to the bottom track. This increases installation options when the upper structure cannot take a significant load.
Clear flexible or rigid seals reduce airflow, dust and vibration, but they do not turn a glass curtain into a fully airtight window.
A low or recessed track can be considered for interiors and frequent-access areas when the floor build-up, drainage and structure allow it.
When thermal and acoustic performance matter more than maximum clear opening, Cruiser 22 or another insulating-glass configuration may be appropriate.
It depends on the required clear opening, structural load capacity, daily use, insulation and whether the track can be recessed. A technical survey is essential before confirming the system.
They provide protection from wind and rain in normal conditions, but they are not equivalent to an airtight external window. Performance depends on seals, drainage, geometry and exposure.
A low or recessed track is possible in many interiors and some terraces. Floor levels, water drainage and compatibility with the existing structure must be checked.
The price depends on width, height, number of panels, glass specification, finish, access and installation complexity. We prepare an accurate quotation after measuring the opening.
Send approximate measurements and photographs. We will review the opening method, support, wind exposure and protection required in Málaga or on the Costa del Sol.
